Entry-Level Police Officer

Application, Written & Physical Agility Testing

We have recently contracted with PublicSafetyTesting.com to conduct a portion of our entry-level recruitment and testing for police officers.  PublicSafetyTesting.com will conduct the written and physical agility tests and send the applicant scores to our agency for further processing.  Interested applicants, please refer to the website www.PublicSafetyTesting.com or telephone toll-free 1-866-Hire-911

Once on the website:

  • Applicants will be able to apply online with our agency (you do not need to fill out our agency's application form).
  • Applicants will also be able to apply with other agencies that are utilizing PublicSafetyTesting.com.
  • Applicants will learn information about each agency, such as department and community information, salary, benefits, number of vacancies, any special requirement an agency may have, etc.
  • Applicants will learn information on the written and physical agility examination.
  • Applicants will be able to choose a testing date, time and location most convenient for them.  Tests will be offered frequently at various location around the region. Testing is anticipated at least quarterly in Idaho.
  • Test are not conducted online.
If you pass both the written and physical agility test, your scores will be sent to our agency and any other agency to which you have applied.  We will then further process these applicants.  This may include inviting you to an oral board and/or other tests. Applicants will then be placed on an eligibility list.  The eligibility list is a continuous list; that is, the list never expires, but the names on the list do.  Candidate scores are valid for one year on this list.  If a candidate is hired by our agency (or any other agency), their name is removed from any other eligibility list that they are on through PublicSafetyTesting.com please direct any questions you may have to:  Janet Hatfield at (208) 472-2950 or e-mail her Janet Hatfield
